SpotEgg is a library of functions for MATLAB encapsulated in a GUI which can be employed for automated spottiness and colouration analysis in digital images used in biological studies. SpotEgg has been designed by Gustavo Liñán (image processing aspects) and Jesús Gómez (biological related issues). A paper describing SpotEgg has been published in the Journal of Avian Biology:
